Solar collectors and systems (direct and indirect, natural and forced convection, heat pipe and vacuum tube systems), features, connection types (parallel and serial connections) and efficiency.  The existing system be associated with of solar energy systems. Solar energy applications (solar chimney, solar pool, solar cells, solar swimming pool systems, solar heating and etc.). ESM-314 REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS LAB.

Cooling circuit elements, components and devices used in cooling. Basic cooling elements (compressor-compressor, condenser, expansion element, evaporator, humectants). The connection of electrical circuits. The establishment of a simple cooling circuit, testing and commissioning of the system (gas charging). Automatic control devices (thermostats, prosestat, low and high pressure gauges) Establishment of the cooling circuit. Four-way valve and the establishment and testing of the cooling circuit using the timer.

ESM-316 HEATING SYSTEMS LAB.

The description, concept and basic information related to welding. Welding types, welding techniques and methods. Welding equipment’s. Application with different welding methods (oxy acetylene, electric arc, gas metal arc welding (TIG, MIG, MAG)). Controlling after welding, clearing procedures and material using. General introduction of ventilation and air conditioning systems. The difference between ventilation and air conditioning systems. Introduction and use of parts and devices used in ventilation and air conditioning systems. Having experience on mechanical and thermodynamic processes such as ventilation, heating, cooling, humidification and dehumidification by experimenting on the system and having knowledge about these subjects. Detecting all kinds of faults that may arise in the systems and learning the elimination of these faults practically.
